The Melba Moore-Clifton Davis Show

This was a great show! I wish it had run much longer. I just started watching the new soap opera Beyond The Gates and when I saw Clifton Davis I searched for this old show. I've seen a few clip from it posted on Facebook and would love to watch the full episodes again. It was great television back in my high school days. We all used to talk about the episodes the next day. At the time we didn't know that Clifton and Melba were in a relationship but could definitely feel the chemistry between them! I will keep searching for the show and hope thar the episodes show up somewhere. Clifton still looks great at 79 years old!

It was only five episodes and aired nearly forty years ago, but I still remember this show. It had everything you would want in a variety show: singing, comedy, guests.

The best thing about the show what the interaction between Melba Moore and Clifton Davis. They had the chemistry that made the show work. It was as good as the Sonny and Cher chemistry in their early years.

We were promised that it would return in the fall of 1972, but that never happened. I believe Melba got her own show that lasted one episode.

Unfortunately this is one of many shows that were memorable, way before the days of VCRs, DVDs, and Blu-ray. And there are no DVDs available for purchase of even one episode. Does anyone at CBS want to release this on video?
