    Uschi! Uschi! USCHI!

Here's some perfect '70's drive-in fodder for you. I won't say it's typical, because its hard R/soft X level of sex was somewhat more daring than a lot of the weak fare floating around at the time. This story of hillbillies makin' hay as indiscriminately as the farm animals is of course almost by definition junk. But this movie does have a redeeming feature--an appearance by the fabulous Uschi Digard. And you don't have to suffer through a Russ Meyer film to see her!

Back in the 1960's and'70's Uschi was probably the top nude model seen in skin magazines. (You may remember seeing her in the shower in 'Kentucky Fried Movie.') She had a body that could make men act like Looney Tunes characters--you know, eyes bulging out of their sockets, jaws crashing to the floor, steamboat whistles going off, etc. Now, if you know anything about Ms. Digard, you know that even though she's an accomplished linguist, fluent in several languages, her Swedish accent precludes her playing an Appalachian native. So she's seen here as a city lady (of the evening) who one of the country cousins is lucky enough to have some commerce with. Her scene is brief but it will be the most vivid memory you have of this movie--provided that one sees it. It finished its run at the drive-ins those many years ago and I haven't seen a trace of it since.
