Boring and silly melodrama dealing with an aristocrat who sells his surnames , as well as a peculiar love story

This one contains romance , drama , juvenile passions , and results to be very mediocre and dull . An elderly and bankrupted man (Mark Stevens) , allegedly marquis , lives at the mansion his ascendants along with his butler (Jesús Tordesillas) , as he sells his aristocratic surnames to those want to pretend being of ancient lineage and brilliant dynasty . As he earns enough money by registering children's birth at the Civil Register office . Shortly after , he inherits a count title but also a numerous family with a lot of children . Along the way the proud and veteran marquis is helped by a good acquaintance (Mary Carrillo) . Then , he meets a female teen (Maribel Martin) who says to be his daughter . After that , it appears another male boy (Tony Isbert) who seems to be his true son . But a fateful fate it takes place , as the young couple falls in love ; but , are there incest between them ?

Close drama with emotion , a moving romance , sensitive friendship and family elements ; including regular interpretations . It deals with an old aristocrat who seeks fortune by inscription newborn babies and then the story changes and emerges a peculiar love story with several problems . A feeling story about a doomed love with sweet moments and predictable ending , though with no interest . Indeed the most effective aspect of the movie is taking what is a relatively simple tale , a particular love story , but moving us through two young boys , but in a relatively subtle way and always through the eyes of the main roles . It may be nothing new , except for the love story has been told many times , but it is charming , sometimes moving , though it doesn't work . Ridiculous and embarrassing screenplay by Alberto Vazquez Figueroa , a prolific writer and author of various best-sellers , whose novels have been successively adapted , such as : Rottweiler (2004), Tuareg (1984) , Ébano or Ashanti , Iguana , Ocean , El Perro or The dog , Oro Rojo and Manaos (1979).

Stars the American actor Mark Stevens who was briefly billed as Stephen Richards . That name was quickly changed by Darryl F. Zanuck to Mark Stevens after Mark's move to 20th Century-Fox . The studio darkened his hair and covered up the freckles to enhance his serious good looks . He soon materialized into a prime film noir contender with such films as Within these walls (1945) and Dark Corner (1946) , the latter pairing him up with a cast-against-type Lucille Ball several years before her I love you Lucy (1951) fame . One of his best roles, however, was as an FBI man at odds with Richard Widmark in The Street with no name (1948). On the musical front , Mark appeared rather colorlessly in such tune fests as I Wonder Who's Kissing Her Now (1947) and Oh, You Beautiful Doll (1949), in which he seemed overshadowed by his leading ladies. Indeed, despite his good looks and abilities, Stevens was constantly pigeonholed as a lesser version of John Payne or Alan Ladd. In retrospect, many of his capable performances leave viewers thinking he was a producer's casting Plan B . Sunbequently , he emigrated to Europe , where played dramas as España Otra Vez , thrillers as Der Fall X701 , Western as Tierra De Fuego and terror as Fury of Wolfman . Support cast is pretty well , plenty of Spanish familiar faces as Mary Carrillo , Jesús Tordesillas , José Orjas , Francisco Piquer , Blaki , Emilio Laguna , Erasmo Pascual , Encarna Paso , among others .

Evocative cinematography by Antonio L. Ballesteros , filmed in Ballesteros studios , though a perfect remastering being extremely necessary because of the film copy is washed-out . Shot on location in Alcalá de Henares , Boadilla del Monte , Madrid . Atmospheric and stirring musical score by Carmelo Bernaola . The motion picture was regularly directed by Antonio Gimenez Rico , a director of great quality . Antonio Giménez Rico was born in Burgos , Castilla y León where he often shoots films . He is a director and writer, especially known for ¨Tres Palabras¨ (1993) , ¨Hotel Danubio¨ (2003) and ¨Jarrapellejos¨ (1988) . He's an expert on dramas as ¨Forteen stations¨ , ¨Spanish soldier¨ and ¨Three words¨ . His speciality turns out to be adaptations based on prestigious novelist Miguel Delibes as ¨ Portrait of family¨ (1976), ¨The vote of Mister Cayo¨ and ¨The rats¨ . He also directed TV Series as ¨Crónicas De Un Pueblo¨ (1971) , ¨Página Sucesos¨ , ¨Los Libros¨ and ¨Mascara Negra¨ . One of his best films results to be ¨Hotel Danubio¨ starred by Santiago Ramos and Carmen Morales , a remake to classic ¨Los Peces Rojos¨ .
