"Having trouble crossing streets? Let us help you"

Think Before You Pink starts off a little basic but once it gets going it is great right up to the end. The animation is lovely and well drawn while still adopting the simple style that has always been part of the Pink Panther cartoons' charm. The jazziness of the score and how catchy it is often is also a thing to like about Think Before You Pink, and the theme tune still hasn't gotten old or annoying. The visual gags are very funny and inspired, and the cartoon itself is a very sharp satire on a subject(signs) that doesn't seem interesting but can be a nightmare for anybody trying to get to somewhere new or trying to avoid being run over(both's happened to me before, just over a year ago I sprained my ankle trying to do the latter). In this respect you can relate to Pinky, and he hasn't lost his comic timing or coolness. The story is not the strongest in the world, if you have seen 60+ Pink Panther cartoons you will get used to that the story is never the best asset, but it is not a liability either. In fact the gags and satire are so strong that anything that could be considered a fault after the basic beginning can be ignored. Overall, great fun, there is no reason why Pink Panther should miss or dislike Think Before You Pink. 9/10 Bethany Cox

Very unconventional ways on crossing the street!

The Pink Panther tries to cross the street during heavy traffic, but doesn't get across before the walk sign turns to "don't walk" again. And, the walk sign also displays other words as well, like "halt," "charge," and "turn around." So, the panther seeks some unconventional methods of crossing the street besides walking, like doing a pole jump, rocketing himself, flying across and torpedoing himself.

Plenty of imaginative stuff here and some laughs and gags to boot as well. This cartoon is fairly entertaining with a very hilarious, surprise ending!

A Satire On Those Annoying Street Signs

This whole cartoon resolves around the dilemma of how to cross a busy city street without getting run over. It's actually a comment on those "walk," "don't walk," signs at intersections. Those things were new, I believe, in the 1960s and were hard to get used to at the beginning, often leaving people in the middle of the street. That's the sarcasm here as it's exaggerated for this satiric cartoon.

The Panther finally comes up with various plans to "trick" the traffic before all the cars run over him (which they do a few times). He first thinks if he dresses up as an old lady, maybe the cars won't run him over.

In what starts off as a basic and ho-hum story turns clever and is fun to watch as the PP tries everything.....just to be able to cross the street! He even sees a sign on the National Pedestrian Club building which reads, "Having trouble crossing streets? Let us help you." The PP takes a class. I wouldn't recommend their plans, either A, B, C or D. Wow, I don't remember it being THAT difficult....but this is a very funny animated short.
