A totally unrealistic but pleasant and light comedy about the rivalry between female and male soldiers

You can call "Rzeczpospolita Babska" (The Republic of Women) a totally unrealistic or even silly comedy, but it contains a couple of funny scenes, and it is enjoyable to watch if you are in a proper mood. The plot takes place in 1945 in the area that is now Western Poland. Girls from the Kosciuszko Division are demobilized but maintain the military structure. They are led by Lieutenant Krystyna (Aleksandra Zawieruszanka) and start to manage the property they have been granted together. Unfortunately, demobilized male soldiers also want the same property. Of course, both sides swear not to be interested in the opposite sex. The film refers somewhat to the 19th-century play by Aleksander Fredro, "Maidens' Vows". But it is also a bit of an action film that contains a lot of situational humor. The film's undoubted advantage is the participation of many popular and sympathetic actresses and actors.
