This is one of the first films that I workrd on in Hollywood. Also was Joseph Sargents first directing job, and later became a very good director. It was a first for a lot of people. A long story could be told as to how this film was put together, and how not to make a film..

1959 Stratford, CT. My brother and I went to the opening of this movie. At some point in the middle of the movie (only one movie at a time in this small theater) I went to the lobby to get more popcorn and saw Vic Savage hangingaround with some other people. I rushed back to my seat, popcorn in hand, to tell my brother. He didn't believe me. It turns out this was the opening and he was doing some promotion in person. He is the first movie star I ever saw in person.
