He didn't know he had it in him.

While the movie may seem rather mild, the point was how Potter became a lingerie designer in a swish office with his family cashing in on the talent and wealth.

It was one bold blonde who, in a naughty moment pushed trembling Potter into a business he never could have dreamed of. He began to act the role that he had been assigned and thus the imagery projected into reality. It shows what a smart cookie can do. She should have been paid more!

I liked her line: "Well, dig that crazy Pottie!" When she laughed that out he was a weak, fumbling, middle-aged husband, afraid of a kiss.

    ...

Jack Benny could say it best about this movie: ...

It's amazing how anything so short can feel so painfully long. Now the basic gist of it is some crime is committed, and the cops are checking up on where everyone was last Thursday, and one feller's wife says he works late on Thursdays, but it turns out that he DOESN'T, because he has some secret mission of delivering 20 pounds to some woman, so the wife thinks he's having an affair, and somehow, in all this, he ends up owning a lingerie company.

    What the? 4/10.

    Give A Dog A Name

Charles Victor is an unregarded clerk at a private bank. His wife, Marjorie Rhodes, bullies him, his children take him for granted, and his brother-in-law leeches. Every Thursday he takes twenty pounds to Glen Alyn on behalf of one of the partners; she's his ex-girlfriend, and the money is to keep her quiet, lest the partner's rich wife should find out and get upset; Victor's family think he works late at the office. When the police come by to discover everyone's whereabouts on a particular Thursday, they find out about it, but Miss Alyn tells them Victor is visiting her. As a result, Victor gets a reputation as a rake.

It's a minor, sniggering sex comedy that concerns itself with society's two-faced attitude towards infidelity. The lack of anything beyond the bare bones of the plot, and victor's meek portrayal give this an air of depression that may emphasize the satire, but doesn't render it very interestin
