Or better said amateurish to childish style. Without having a well-developed script, the film is a series of scenes without logic, in which only one thing is clear, a scientist has been kidnapped and his daughter must deliver a briefcase with secret documents in exchange for his release. Thus, we have to swallow a gratuitous scene at a bullfight, because the action is in Spain, to see how a bull is killed, without any relevance to the so-called subject of the film, then a flamenco or fandango dance, etc. We have in total 4 unspectacular anemic fights and an even more anemic striptease. The only "authentic" thing in the whole movie is the way in which the agent Lemmy Logan, played by the Argentinian Luis Dávila, lights up cigarette after cigarette, just like Sean Connery in the original Bond movies. The Italian Gaia Germani, who plays the main female character Jane Morrow, is not particularly beautiful and talented. In addition, she also wears some ridiculous hats. The most embarrassing scene is when Carol, the blonde agent played by Janine Reynaud, sends a message by blinking her eyelids and then dies. All the dialogue of the movie is stupid like the whole movie. And the music is completely inconsistent with what we see on the screen.
Ypotron boasts a colorful sci-fi pop art pre-credit sequence. A sliding door opens to reveal our hero, dressed in a tuxedo, who puts on a pair of night vision glasses. He enters the room and while trying to figure out a strange design on the wall is shot in the back with a machine gun. It turns out he was testing his bullet-proof vest but it was a fun introduction to world of Lemmy Logan (Luis Davila).
We are treated to a terrific score by Nico Fidenco throughout the film and the swinging theme song is performed by The Sorrows. This film has enough bad guys for three movies and the confusing plot doesn't help any. Things to look forward to are scenes with wind tunnel peril (it had to happen), a strange stripper act, and dialog that loses something in the translation. Note: the bloodthirsty of you will enjoy the bullfight scenes where you witness the actual killing of a bull.
Our heroes get to use all manner of fancy gadgets in their pursuit of evil. Lighter communicators get a workout and there's an instant oil slick capsule to derail those bad guys chasing you. They use a briefcase movie camera which not only develops the film automatically but will also project it onto a tiny screen, a receiver in a Norelco shaver, a nifty gadget that makes phones ring, and a radar tracking device in a Bible!
So what is Ypotron? It is `the first space weapon' and with it you can rule the world!

Doctor Morrow, a scientist who works for NASA, has mysteriously disappeared. The Secret Service investigates. Agent Lemmy Logan is in charge of the case. He discovers that that Leikman – a former Nazi scientist – is developing Ypotron, a weapon that could destroy a large part of the world. Leikman wants to use the dr. Morrow's scientific knowledge. This is an Europsy movie from the sixties with some nice locations en beautiful women. There is to an entertaining music score by Nico Fidenco throughout the film. The script written by Remigio Del Grosso and José Luis Martínez Mollá isn't that bad and "Agente Logan - Missione Ypotron " is well directed by Giorgio Stegani. The acting is good, especially from Luis Dávila as Lemmy Logan.
Another fairly enjoyable example of the Italian spy film, heavily stylised and derivative of the Bond series as always. This time around, a secret agent called Lemmy Logan (!) is on the trail of a missing NASA scientist, and it turns out genre regular Alan Collins is behind it all. There's plenty of action here, alongside exotic females and even a couple of strip sequences to titillate viewers.

- TriviaThe opening credit sequence is projected over scenes of the hero holidaying in Acapulco, riding in a boat and flirting with two bikini-clad girls. In the English-language print, these scenes are shown in negative. In other prints, notably the German-dubbed one, the scenes are shown normally.
