Mission secrète pour Lemmy Logan (1966)

Review by RodrigAndrisan

Mission secrète pour Lemmy Logan

1/10

Bond Spanish style!

Or better said amateurish to childish style. Without having a well-developed script, the film is a series of scenes without logic, in which only one thing is clear, a scientist has been kidnapped and his daughter must deliver a briefcase with secret documents in exchange for his release. Thus, we have to swallow a gratuitous scene at a bullfight, because the action is in Spain, to see how a bull is killed, without any relevance to the so-called subject of the film, then a flamenco or fandango dance, etc. We have in total 4 unspectacular anemic fights and an even more anemic striptease. The only "authentic" thing in the whole movie is the way in which the agent Lemmy Logan, played by the Argentinian Luis Dávila, lights up cigarette after cigarette, just like Sean Connery in the original Bond movies. The Italian Gaia Germani, who plays the main female character Jane Morrow, is not particularly beautiful and talented. In addition, she also wears some ridiculous hats. The most embarrassing scene is when Carol, the blonde agent played by Janine Reynaud, sends a message by blinking her eyelids and then dies. All the dialogue of the movie is stupid like the whole movie. And the music is completely inconsistent with what we see on the screen.
