A light-hearted comedy that offers a pleasant escape from reality

"Half Ticket" is a classic Bollywood comedy film released in 1962, directed by Kalidas. The movie features the legendary actor-singer Kishore Kumar in the lead role, along with Madhubala, Pran, and Shammi.

The film revolves around a young man named Vijay, played by Kishore Kumar, who lives in a small village. Vijay dreams of going to Bombay (now Mumbai) to fulfill his aspirations and escape the monotony of his village life. In order to afford a train ticket to Bombay, Vijay comes up with a mischievous plan. He disguises himself as a child and manages to get a half ticket on the train.

Once in Bombay, Vijay gets caught up in a series of humorous situations and mistaken identities. He befriends a child named Raja, played by Baby Naaz, who becomes his partner in crime. Together, they create chaos and comic confusion wherever they go, leading to many hilarious moments.

Kishore Kumar's impeccable comic timing and his ability to effortlessly switch between different characters make the film highly entertaining. His portrayal of Vijay is charming, and he brings his unique style of humor to the character. The chemistry between Kishore Kumar and Baby Naaz is delightful, and their on-screen antics provide the movie with its comedic backbone.

The film also boasts some memorable songs, with Kishore Kumar lending his voice to several of them. Songs like "Aake Seedhi Lagi," "Aankhon Mein Tum," and the famous "Aake Teri Bahon Mein" are still popular among fans of Hindi film music.

"Half Ticket" is a light-hearted comedy that offers a pleasant escape from reality. It showcases Kishore Kumar's versatility as an actor and singer, and the film's humor has stood the test of time. If you enjoy classic Bollywood comedies and are a fan of Kishore Kumar's work, "Half Ticket" is definitely worth watching.

You will fall in love with crazy Munna

Half Ticket is a laugh riot. An absolute classic from Kishore Kumar and director Kalidas.

Half ticket is the story of Vijay(Kishore Kumar) who is a fun loving son of a rich industrialist. He is always doing some pranks. His father becomes fade up of his pranks and habits, drives him out of the house. He then decides to go to mumbai but he does not have money for ticket. He them disguise himself as a crazy little boy who is half witted. At railway station a thief Raja Babu(Pran) hides a dimond in Munna's hip in bid to escape from police. And the rest of the story is how Raja Babu tries to retrieve his diamond from Munna while Munna/Vijay and Rajini comes close to each other.

This movie's biggest strength lies in the lead actor Kishore Kumar, and he ensures this is one man's show. He is simply brilliant in each frame. Absolutely crazy act and you will just love the accent and speech tone of Kishore Kumar.

Madhubala looks lovely and both of them KK and Madhubala looking so good together. Both of them have amazing chemistry together and even their scenes are crazy ones.

Director Kalidas ensures there is no any dull moment in the movie. An absolutely crazy movie which is fun to watch.

          India's Best Comedy Movie

HALF TICKET is India's NO.1 Comedy Movie of Hindi Cinema . It was released during those days when majority of viewers like to watch " Rona-Dona" i.e Serious movies. They had poor sense of humour in those days.

Kishore Da marvellous . Even hard core fan of Kishore da as a singer would hardly know that the song he sang " AAKE SEEDHI LAGI DIL PE KATARIYA" in the movie (for both male and female voice) , the male voice played back by Kishore Da for Actor Pran was typically sang in actor Pran's accent and still not even managed to sing both sexes voice but did the history.

This makes Kishore Da ahead of any Great singer- He is Just Versatile , immaculate. He is EVEREGREEN actor & Singer. Besides this he was great Director/ Producer, Music Director, Lyricist ,Script writer and a Great Yoodler.

Once Lata Mangeskar couldn't report for recording. This gave an idea to the eccentric Kishore Kumar. Why not sing both the male and the female part of a duet. Which he did. The male voice was picturised on Pran. And the female voice. Yes, on himself. Aake Seedhi Lagi !.
