An Orgy For Two

There's a road scheduled to go right through the village, so the council sends Peppino De Filippo to Rome. THere, they think, his cousin Totò is associated with a major unin. The union turns out to be a buch of people who sleep in car lots. Totò earns a precarious living doing odd jobs for the nobility ad other people who live la dolce vita.

This burlesque of Fellini's movie of the previous year had a short script, with the two leads improvising bunch of funny routines amidst the decadence of the elite and uselessness of the national government. Director Sergio Corbucci let the two of them have their heads and the result is a very funny movie.

Trivia
The first scenes were directed by Camillo Mastrocinque, who left the project some days later. The direction went then to Sergio Corbucci, who was also known as a connoisseur of the Roman Dolce Vita and had already directed Totò and Peppino De Filippo shortly before in Celui qui s'arrête est perdu (1960).
