An advanced humanoid robot that can fully interact with a penny water tap

An advanced humanoid robot that can fully interact with a penny water tap made in a poor communist country. That is the essence of the whole movie and why not the whole Romanian society in the 1960s.

This is maybe the Romanian answer to Chaplin's Modern Times. Only that the tech is not dehumanizing the worker. After all this is the communist society where the working men and women build a bright future. So the tech is there to make a backward country an engineering leader of the World. There are no petty confrontations, no usual backstabbing for a higher place. You even get references to god and the biblical story of creation.
