Adventure Trash with Hellmut LANGE and Ellen SCHWIERS

Harald Birk (Hellmut LANGE) visits a few friends on a drilling field in Anatolia. There he falls in love with the attractive Kerima (Ellen SCHWIERS). Together with her and his friends, he then goes on a search for a legendary treasure. The buxom blonde Ingrid (Christiane NIELSEN) and her devious lover Kemal (Ekrem BORA) also get wind of this and follow the treasure hunters. When Ingrid falls in love with the dashing fisherman Enes (Wikipedia says Elid / the role is played by Fikret HAKAN or Öztürk SERENGIL), the situation escalates. Not all adventurers will survive the treasure hunt...

The only interesting thing about this amateurishly made adventure film is the makers behind the camera. Director Ernst Ritter from THEUMER was something of a self-made filmmaker. A few years later he shot SCHARFE SCHÜSSE AUF JAMAICA, essentially a prototype for the KOMMISSAR X Franchise with Brad HARRIS and Tony KENDALL. One could see this work, which has not been unfairly forgotten, as a kind of training film for later GERMAN ADVENTURE FLICKS.

Oh yes, Peter KIRSTEN, who can be seen as an actor in a supporting role, sings two more hits. It had to be!
