A courting couple crash their car near a cemetery where the Devil (Wood regular Criswell) and his Goth girl side-kick are holding a topless dancing competition. The dancers are all dead. The guy and gal are caught by The Mummy and The Wolfman and are tied up and forced to watch the endless procession of talentless titty-dancers. They aren't too happy about this, and after 90 minutes of this crap you'll know EXACTLY how they feel!
It goes without saying that this is a strong contender for the worst movie ever made. Watch it and be amazed. And very, very bored!

- Quotes
[first lines]
The Emperor: I am Criswell. For years, I have told the almost unbelievable, related the unreal and showed it to be more than a fact. Now I tell a tale of the threshold people, so astounding that some of you may faint. This is a story of those in the twilight time. Once human, now monsters, in a void between the living and the dead. Monsters to be pitied, monsters to be despised. A night with the ghouls, the ghouls reborn from the innermost depths of the world.
- Alternate versionsIn the original VHS version of the film, there is a much-noticed driving scene near the beginning which seems to go from bright, sunny daylight in the long shots to nighttime in the close-ups. In the subsequent DVD release, the mismatch is not nearly as noticeable. The long shots of the car appear now to be rather routine day-for-night footage.
