Stooges stoop to conquer the movie world

"Studio Stoops" is an entertaining entry that sees the boys as janitors at a major film studio. Through a misunderstanding, they are thought to be publicity agents for the studio and are to come up with a boffo publicity stunt for screen ingenue Christine McIntyre. The Stooges plan to come up with a stunt where Christine is kidnapped, but real criminals (headed by the always excellent Kenneth MacDonald) kidnap her for real! Will The Stooges save her in time?

"Studio Stoops" offers classic Stooge slapstick and an interesting story for a fine balance. The only drawback is the obvious double for Shemp in the long shots of him hanging off a phone extension line over the street.

After seeing "Studio Stoops," I wonder who the boys' tailor was. In many Shemp shorts, including this one, their cuffs are noticeably too long! Surely Columbia could have afforded to alter their suit jackets!

    A romp throughout. 7 out of 10.

    Stooges highrise work

The Stooges are exterminators who get mistaken for movie studio PR people. They are ordered to cook up a publicity stunt for starlet Dolly Devore. The guys try faking her kidnapping but nobody buys it. When she actually gets kidnapped, the Stooges have to rescue her themselves. This one has some fun highrise ledge work from Shemp. It's good fun and games. Christine McIntyre is good here.

    Good Three Stooges short!

The Three Stooges has always been some of the many actors that I have loved. I love just about every one of the shorts that they have made. I love all six of the Stooges (Curly, Shemp, Moe, Larry, Joe, and Curly Joe)! All of the shorts are hilarious and also star many other great actors and actresses which a lot of them was in many of the shorts! In My opinion The Three Stooges is some of the greatest actors ever and is the all time funniest comedy team!

One of the most different Three Stooges shorts is Studio Stoops. In this short are Kenneth MacDonald, Vernon Dent, and Joe Palma. The acting by these actors are good especially by Dent and MacDonald. There are many funny scenes here that I think most Three Stooges fans will love! In My opinion this one of the most different Three Stooges shorts. I recommend this one!

Moe: You get a rope that'll reach to the 10th floor and step on it.

Larry: Hey, you better bolt that door in case our adversaries come back.

      Moe: Good idea. "Adversaries?"

      Larry: Yeah!

Moe: Since when did you get so smart?

Larry: Oh, I've been smart all the time, only you didn't know it. Say, when I come back, I'll give you the password.

      Moe: Brilliant! What'll it be?

      Larry: [Whispering] Open the door.

      Moe: [Slaps Larry]
