    Interesting from a Historical Point-of-View

Forced to leave Germany due to the rising antisemitism within that country prior to World War II, a renowned university professor by the name of "Professor Maulthner" (Fritz Kortner) finally decides to return to his home country and help to rebuild it following its surrender. Unfortunately, upon arriving, he discovers that, even though Adolf Hitler and his staff have all been either killed or otherwise neutralized, the hatred for the Jews still remains--with one particular young man named "Walter" (Ernst Schroeder) being particularly ironic. Now, rather than reveal any more, I will just say that this turned out to be an interesting film due to its historical significance at the time. If nothing else, it highlights the fact that racial and ethnic hatred isn't necessarily eliminated just because the killing has stopped. Be that as it may, this was a good film overall, and I have rated it accordingly. Above average.
