Cantinflas recital in which he usually wears his baggy pants, his two-piece mustache and talks nonsensical sentences

Here Cantinflas has a job as a porter, he is a hand man who cleans the building, sweeps, makes botched works and all kinds of activities . This porter is a good-natured man who wants to see all around people living happily. There is a sentimental story in which Cantinflas helps a cripple neighbour : Silvia Pinal, Luis Buñuel's usual actress, because of she is unable to walk. Along the way Cantinflas falls in love with her, but Rosa Maria is for a young military man : Fernando Casanova who also has feelings for Rosa Maria.

This is an early as well as nice Cantinflas vehicle with his comedy routine touches consisting of nonsensical chatter, engaging drawn-out, executing peculiar dances and in which he is writing love letters for other people , along the way he goes to school, helps his recently dismissed teacher, collects money to undergo a medical operation his handicapped neighbour Silvia Pinal and anything else. Finally, to win betting at a horse race, Cantinflas will participate as a jockey at a pretty well made race . Mexico's greatest and most beloved comedy film star of all time, Cantinflas, stars this recital of his extraordinary skills, here he was at the beginning his successful career that would get his greatest hits in the late 1950s and early 60s with films as El bombero atomico, Si yo fuera diputado, El bolero de Raquel, Sube y baja, El Analfabeto, El extra, El Padrecito and his two Hollywood movies : Around the world in 80 days and Pepe. His last movie was El Barrendero (The street cleaner) 1983 made more money than any other Spanish language feature ever shown in the United States. Cantinflas was a very popular artist, known national and internationally, in fact he was described as the world's greatest comedian by none other than Charles Chaplin

The motion picture was professionally directed by Miguel Maria Delgado, Cantinflas's regular director who directed in a lot of movies as El señor doctor, El patrullero 777, El profe, Por mis pistolas, El supersabio, Gran hotel, El señor fotografo, Los tres mosqueteros, El Gendarme desconocido, among others. Rating 6.5/10. The picture will appeal to Cantinflas fans
