Another Great Childhood Production

This one is significantly better than some of the other Childhood Productions, and is actually quite fun to watch (although don't show it to little kids... they would probably be extremely troubled by it). The evil dwarf is extremely politically-incorrect, and King Nitwit is no doubt the most annoying character to ever appear in a Childhood Film. Perhaps the most notable thing about the film is it's horrifically disturbing soundtrack, which gave me frequent nightmares as a child. See it!

Released in the U.S. as Snow White and Rose Red (1966), of a small handful of films distributed by Barry Yellen's Childhood Productions in 1966, each a hastily dubbed U.S. premiere of a foreign language film, including The Big Bad Wolf (1957) ginal title: The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats], The Christmas That Almost Wasn't (1966) and Cinderella (1955) ginal title: Aschenputtel]. All of the English song scores were released as original sound track albums on RCA Camden Records, long out-of-print vinyl releases that command high prices today.
