Max subscribers have a number of exciting movie and TV premieres to look forward to this month.

The biggest and most noteworthy is “A Minecraft Movie,” which is set to make its streaming premiere on Max on an undetermined date in June, after already grossing nearly $1 billion at the worldwide box office. Some smaller dramas, like director Paolo Sorrentino’s “Parthenope” and the Daisy Ridley action vehicle “Cleaner,” are arriving on the platform in June as well.

Max will also be the streaming home for “The Gilded Age” Season 3 when it makes its premiere on Sunday, June 22.

Ryan Coogler’s hit film Sinners has been making waves in IMAX theaters and it’s been announced that the horror flick will be coming to digital next week. Additionally, the big vampire blues party will be coming to your home with a 4K physical media release courtesy of Warner Bros. As for technical specs, you can expect a stellar presentation that offers native 4K 2160p resolution and Dolby Vision, HDR10 on the visual front, and Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 on the audio side.

One further compelling element to this 4K Blu-ray release of Sinners is that it will have the shifting aspect ratio – which went from 2.76:1 to 1.43:1 in some scenes during the IMAX release – something cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw teased on social media a few weeks ago, thus presenting the film in a way that will duplicate the theatrical experience as best as possible for your home.

Equity casting is now underway for “Blues in The Night,” a musical coming this spring to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. The production is currently seeking union actors, aged 24–64, in four lead roles: The Lady from the Road, The Woman of the World, The Girl with a Date, and The Man in the Saloon. All talent must have strong singing voices. There will be an Equity principal audition on Dec. 18 in Beverly Hills, California. Rehearsals will begin March 27, 2018, followed by tech April 22–26, previews beginning April 27, and a run from May 2–May 20 (or May 27 if extended).
