Une romantique aventure

The quality of this film is every bit the equal of American movies of the time.

It's a well written, well acted, and well directed movie, full of interesting characters. There are beautiful sets and excellent use of music.

I gave it only 8/10 stars because it could have used more humor, even though it's a drama, and there were a couple of times the pace of the movie became too slow, and some of the characters seemed a little one dimensional.

In spite of that, it was an enjoyable, well-made, high-quality movie that makes me want to find other films directed by Mario Camerini.
