Post WWII television audiences got their first look at it in both Baltimore and Boston and Washington DC Saturday 18 December 1948 on WAAM (Channel 13) and WNAC (Channel 7) and WMAL (Channel 7), and in both Los Angeles and Dallas Saturday 24 September 1949 on KFI (Channel 9) and on KBTV (Channel 8).
