    Inoffensive Musical With Nine Songs

Republic made this fourth entry in their Hit Parade series (there would be another in 1951) consisting of musical numbers stitched together by a thin plot. It is basically an excuse to see some popular performers of the era such as Woody Herman and his orchestra, The Sons of the Pioneers, and Roy Rogers (shown at work in the studio) My favorite numbers are one criticizing members of an audience called "The Customer Is Always Wrong" and one dance item by star Constance Moore making fun of phony Latins and Carmen Miranda called "Chiquita from Santa Anita." At another point performers are put to work in a serial being filmed, with Richard Lane as the director, to keep them busy. Mildly pleasant entertainment.
