Citadel: Honey Bunny is an Indian-infused Bourne Identity. This exotic action-adventure bounces back and forth between Bucharest, Bombay, and Nainital, just a month after the release of Citadel: Diana. In an episode packed with slick and stylish sequences, audiences are swiftly introduced to Honey and Bunny (played by Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varan Dhawan), and the dynamic duo effortlessly delivers. Combining these icons of Indian cinema with the powerhouse combo of writer/director/producers Raj & Dk, alongside Sita R. Menon, this Citadel spinoff hits the ground running.

Drawing on the best bits of blockbuster action movies, Citadel: Honey Bunny Season 1, Episode 1, "Fighting and Dancing" really comes together. There's a wide variety on offer -- from picturesque locations to precocious pre-teens to enormous henchmen ready to unleash hell on both Honey and Bunny.

Even before Madame Web officially hit the big screens, many wrote it off based on the trailer and Sony’s track record with their live-action cinematic universe, which is yet to take off. Unfortunately for the Dakota Johnson-led movie, it failed to improve upon its trailer, with some deeming it the worst of Sony since Morbius.

But despite the overwhelming criticism against the movie, which doesn’t do much to advance Sony’s cinematic universe, the movie has its moments, as fans on X rave over one particular scene.

Dakota Johnson is blunt about the bleakness of the filmmaking industry and the challenges artists face, but she has hope thanks to smaller movies. She believes that smaller films offer more creative freedom and agency for artists. Johnson is excited about her role in Madame Web, a superhero movie that approaches action in a grounded and scrappy way.

Dakota Johnson isn’t sugarcoating her feelings about the filmmaking industry. During a recent interview with L'Officiel USA, Johnson straight up said, “I am discovering that it’s really f—ing bleak in this industry. It is majorly disheartening.” However, when the Madame Web actress visited with Perri Nemiroff, Johnson suggested that smaller movies might be the one hope for the industry. Johnson said in her exclusive sit-down with Collider:

“I mean, there's so many films that I love. Poor Things I think is an incredible film, Past Lives is an incredible film.

Young U.S. model and actor Lola Sultan (“Bernie the Dolphin”) is attached to star alongside Australia’s Abbie Cornish in family action-adventure film “Dakota,” which is set to start shooting this month in Italy.

“Dakota” is being directed by Kirk Harris (“Bernie The Dolphin”) and produced by Italy’s Iervolino Entertainment, which is tapping into the Italian production tax rebate that currently allows a 40% deduction on eligible production costs.

Andrea Iervolino, Monika Bacardi, Danielle Maloni, Marty Poole, Kirk Harris and Ace Underhill are producing. Johnny Harrington (“I Still Know What You Did Last Summer”) wrote the screenplay.

Exclusive: Sony Pictures Entertainment has officially promoted Nicole Brown to president of TriStar Pictures, one-year after Brown was tapped to head the film division for the specialty label following the departure of long-time exec Hannah Minghella. Brown, who last year was appointed to head TriStar Pictures as executive vice president, will continue to oversee all the film development and production slate and report to Tom Rothman, chairman of Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group.

At a surprise DC Fandome panel, Milestone comics co-founder Denys Cowan announced that beloved 90s/2000s-era character Static Shock will be getting a new digital comic series in February of 2021 as part of a revival of 1993’s Milestone Media, under DC. Cowan made the announcement alongside DC Entertainment’s Co-Publisher Jim Lee, producer/director Reginald Hudlin, and Phil Lamarr, voice of Static Shock from the animated series. This charming Roy Rogers oater could reboot interest in vintage ‘series’ westerns. Basically a film for little kids, it’s earnestly played by all concerned and director William Witney’s direction sparkles. The added filip that makes the difference is the beautifully restored Trucolor image — Roy’s wonder horse Trigger is indeed magnificent. I listened carefully, but I don’t think Roy actually says, “Yippie-ki-yay, M_____f____r.”

Halloween is my favorite holiday, but really, Thanksgiving is the most terrifying of traditional American celebrations. Unbridled Passion by Howard Hughes

Following the release in March of ‘A Man Called Gannon’ (1968), Simply Media in the UK continue to release more Universal-International westerns, this time of 1940s and ‘50s vintage. The new releases, out on 18 April, are ‘Calamity Jane & Sam Bass’ (1949), ‘Cattle Drive’ (1951) and ‘Black Horse Canyon’ (1954). This trio of films are literally ‘Horse Operas’, with the accent on thoroughbred steeds and their importance and role in the working west. Be they cattle drovers, stock breeders or outlaws, where would any of them be without the horse? The answer, of course, is walking.

I’ll review the DVDs in the order I watched them. First up is ‘Cattle Drive’, a 1951 western directed by Kurt Neumann. Chester Graham Jnr (Dean Stockwell), the spoilt, arrogant son of railroad magnet Chester Graham Snr (Leon Ames), is accidentally left behind when the train he is travelling on makes a water stop.

Coming to theater on April 3rd is the film Effie Gray.

The film explores the fascinating, true story of the relationship between Victorian England’s greatest mind, John Ruskin, and his teenage bride, Euphemia “Effie” Gray, who leaves him for the Pre-Raphaelite painter John Everett Millais.

Effie Gray is the first original screenplay written by Oscar-winning screenwriter Emma Thompson. In this impeccably crafted period drama, Thompson delicately and incisively probes the marital politics of the Victorian Era, and beyond.

Dakota Fanning stars as Effie Gray Ruskin. The cast includes Emma Thompson, Julie Walters, Tom Sturridge, David Suchet, Greg Wise, Claudia Cardinale, James Fox, Sir Derek Jacobi and Robbie Coltrane.

The annual selection helps to ensure that the movies will be preserved for all time. This year’s list brings the number of films in the registry to 650.

Also on the list are John Lasseter’s 1986 animated film, Luxo Jr; the original Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory with Gene Wilder; and Howard Hawks’ classic 1959 Western Rio Bravo. Documentaries and silent films also make up part of the selection which represents titles that are “culturally, historically or aesthetically” significant; they must also each be at least 10 years old. New York – She had it all. Just like Bogie and, well, her. Lauren “Betty” Bacall accidentally became a movie actress, but that accident led to stardom, two marriages to famous actors and a long life of award winning performances. The 89-year-old star died of a stroke in New York City on August 12th.

She thought her marriage to Humphrey Bogart – who was 26 years older than her – would be her epitaph, but Bacall had so much more going for her through her career, she forged ahead and established her own identity. In that second act, it was the stage that became her main calling, as she won Tony Awards for her lead performances in “Applause” and “Woman of the Year” on Broadway. Her husky voiced, independent style was broadly appealing, especially in her early co-starring roles with Bogart.

Keeping up with his career plan of paying homage to every film genre going, Quentin Tarantino has moved onto the spaghetti western with Django Unchained (2012). It’s not a remake of the pasta classic Django (1966), or indeed a spaghetti western, but it has clearly taken its inspiration from those violent Italian productions that swamped the late sixties.

Hollywood may have dominated the field since the beginning of motion pictures but European westerns are not exactly new; the earliest known one was filmed in 1910. Sixties German cinema made good use of Kay May’s western heroes Shatterhand and Winnetou, and the British produced The Savage Guns (1961), Hannie Caulder (1971), A Town Called Bastard (1971), Catlow (1971), Chato’s Land (1972) and Eagle’s Wing (1979). When the genre showed signs of flagging in the mid-sixties, a clever Italian director named Sergio Leone took it upon himself to reinvent the western – spaghetti style!

It's that time of year again -- the Miss America pageant is back. It's our favorite of all the beauty pageants because it has a talent competition. Fingers crossed for a yodeling ventriloquist like Alyse Eady from two years ago, or someone who plays the water glasses like in "Miss Congeniality."

The preliminary results are in from the first three days of competition. Miss Oklahoma Alicia Clifton, Miss Maryland Joanna Guy and Miss North Dakota Rosie Sauvageau have topped the first round of talent competitions. Miss South Carolina Ali Rogers, Miss Illinois Megan Ervin and Miss Washington Mandy Schendel have won the first round of swimsuit competitions.

There's a case to be made for Ron Swanson from "Parks and Recreation" as the most rugged, manly character on TV right now, but his stiffest competition if arguably (and fittingly) Nick Offerman, the guy who plays him. We're back for the second installment of "The Voice's" blind auditions. It's the first two-hour episode of Season 2 so if there wasn't enough of Christina's boobs, Adam boastfulness, or Cee Lo's studded attire last night, you are indeed in luck.

My sister, who will be recapping with me from this point forward, is looking for more of two things in particular: 1. Blake and 2. Cee Lo's kitty, who we've recently learned is named Purrrfect.

The show opens with Carson Daly's increasingly skinny head only introducing the judges and their Prince medley.

Chelsey: "‪Adam Levine's in a tank top and Cee Lo's in sequins, so all is right in the world‬."

Chelsey: "‪Whenever Cee Lo doesn't wear sunglasses, I remember why Cee Lo wears sunglasses‬."

‪Cee Lo's fittingly sunglasses-inducing ensemble aside, Blake stars off shaky, which we can only attribute to his denim-on-denim ensemble.

Maybe it's because we haven't had time to get annoyed by the coaches, or maybe it's simply that Adam, Blake, Cee Lo and Christina seem to be having such a genuinely fun time together, but The Voice returned with a second night of Blind Auditions that was just as entertaining as Sunday's season premiere.

Between the coaches goading each other to turn around for less than stellar acts, Blake taking bows after being told he's good looking, and even Cee Lo's ridiculous reading glasses, there was a lot of fun being had in those giant red swivel chairs.  My favorite, though, had to be Blake's admission that the contestants were getting "fooled by flash and boobs" in reference to Christina getting chosen a number of times early on.

The blind auditions continued on Monday night's (February 6) two-hour episode of "The Voice," with each judge picking up two more contestants to fill out the 12-person teams they'll take to the battle phase later in the season.

The episode opened with a flashy medley of Prince hits "1999," "Little Red Corvette" and "Kiss" performed by judges Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, before the crew got right to business with the auditions.
