This is one of my favorite Tom and Jerry cartoons from 1943. In this short, the little girl of the house forced Tom to play "baby," and he did not like it one bit! After the child leaves the room, Jerry peeks out from behind a dollhouse and sees Tom enjoying the milk from the bottle. He then mocks Tom by playing "Rock-a-Bye Baby" on the turntable and pretending to be a baby. I love that part. Tom is furious and chases Jerry into the dollhouse. Just when it seems that Tom has Jerry cornered, Nancy returns and scolds Tom again. Tucking Tom back in bed, Nancy threatens to feed him castor oil if he gets out again.
Jerry emerges from the doll house and runs to the window to get the attention of Meathead (from the short Sufferin' Cats! ), Butch, and Topsy, Tom's three alley cat friends, who are outside. When the trio sees Tom, they begin to make fun of him. When Tom confronts the other cats, they continue to tease and humiliate him. Poor Tom. Overall, I love this cartoon.

One of the funniest Tom & Jerry cartoons ever made. Tom getting dressed up as a baby by a little girl is priceless in itself. Add Jerry, and a few alley cats to the mix, and you got one funny cartoon. Not to be missed!
The first Tom and Jerry cartoons always caught my attention because of the Character Designs and obviously because it was the beginning, there were excellent shorts and my favorite was "The Night Before Christmas", Baby Puss although a little more Cruel and Sadistic than normal, I loved it both Visually and Musically.
Here we see an Evil Girl named Nancy who Forces her Cat (Tom) to dress up as Bebe, Jerry provokes Tom but the Girl threatens the Cat that she will give him Castor Oil if he moves from there.
That Part of the Cartoon is Favored by the First appearances of the Alley Cats which, although they give Tom the Suffering, is the funniest Part of the cartoon.
Of course, it was the beginning, the Character Designs are strange, especially the Stray Cats, but even so, the Animation is Phenomenal and Even to the degree of Disney, I liked the backgrounds, they are quite colorful and quite well drawn.
The Music is at its Maximum Splendor, obviously it is fun and Frenetic but the Part where the Alley Cats sing "Mamãe eu Quero" is the Funniest Part and at the same time, one of the best musical scenes of the Entire Series, It is Accompanied by scenes Funny and the Musical Brilliance is at its Maximum Potential.
Baby Puss can be Sadistic, petty and Annoying but it really is a Good Cartoon of Tom and Jerry, it has a Funny Setting and the Alley Cats steal the Spotlight from Tom and Jerry, the Musical scene of the Cats is Incredible and the Cartoon looks Benefited from quite a few funny gags.
In itself, it's not the Best Tom and Jerry Cartoon, but it's not the Worst either, it's fun and has excellent animation and music, it has memorable scenes like Jerry Bathing in the Dollhouse and the Stray Cats singing "¡Mamãe eu Quero!" it's just fascinating, a little sadistic but Jerry ends up getting what he deserves when he swallows castor oil and is forced to Vomit it out the window with Tom, the Cats, although they didn't get their Deserved, they contributed a lot to the Cartoon and this is Tom and Jerry in Pure state!.
For everything I said above, Baby Puss gets an 8.

After he is forced to dress up and act like a baby by a sadistic little girl, poor old Tom becomes the victim of bullying by Jerry and a group of nasty alley cats.
Tom is physically and verbally attacked for the entire duration of this cartoon by every other character, and, although the level of violence is not particularly any higher than in other episodes, Baby Puss seems more mean spirited than your average T&J adventure. The result just isn't as enjoyable as usual.
There is also an overlong musical number which feels rather incongruous, and an unsatisfying ending which sees both Tom and Jerry getting a dose of Castor oil that makes them violently sick (I wanted Tom to turn the tables on his tormentors).

This is one of my favorite Tom and Jerry cartoons. There isn't much plot, but everything that happens is just so delightful, funny, and beautifully animated, it's hard not to love. Tom's bratty alleycat friends are always fun to watch, and Tom is definitely at his most helpless and adorable. For old music fans, Baby Puss features a dozen great old standards brilliantly orchestrated.
