    • Trivia
The character of Pam Mitchell was loosely based on real-life record-breaking aviatrix Laura Ingalls, a member of the America First Committee (called "America Above All" in the film) and a prominent isolationist speaker. Though Ingalls was never charged with espionage, she was convicted of serving as an unregistered German agent and was sentenced on February 20, 1942, just three and one-half months before "Spy Ship" was released.
    • Goofs
When Prescott tells his editor that he has found Pam Miller's body, he does not mention where he found it. The editor then rings a photographer and tells him to go to the Miller house, where he will "find the body in the trunk of her car."
