    • Trivia
Now primarily known for its infamous, real, unstaged, brutal and quite disturbing fight scene between a real lion and a tiger. On the day of the shoot, star Clyde Beatty--a renowned lion tamer in real life--brought the two animals together in a cage for a scene in which he's supposed to tame them. However, the two beasts started fighting almost immediately. Unable to calm them down, Beatty decided to just film the whole thing and see what happens. The sequence kept in the movie shows the tiger dominating the lion but it cuts away before the lion is actually killed. Beatty later said in an interview that the lion actually ended up killing the tiger. Since the footage of the end of the fight doesn't exist, this has led to rumors that the tiger had indeed actually won, which is now a generally accepted misconception.
