This film started a little slowly, but it reached a point where it was fun and enjoyable. Without giving anything away, the ending was satisfying although it required a few people to behave like I would not expect them to.
The female lead was pretty, which isn't always the case in some of these old movies .
I didn't understand her attraction to the male lead, but it worked.
Some of the few musical numbers fit in well whereas others were almost surreal, but they added to the fun of the film and did not detract.
Some of the characters were quite sympathetic without which a movie like this would fail.
