Romantic intrigues with music and surprises

A very young and fresh Marguerite Viby in her very first talking film. The film has a traditional romantic plot: A rich man bets 1 million, with his son, that the "simple" choir-girl Aurora and the son, can stay together for a month, without any arguments whatsoever. Some surprising jealousy tricks are used from both camps. And that fact, plus Kai Normann Andersen's important work with the songs, that became evergreens, makes the film worth seeing even today.

In the original script written by Fleming Lynge and Paul Sarauw, the month of the bet was October, but, possibly because the film's release was set for March 1st, it was changed in the film to the month of March. The original script does not include the songs, which were written separately by Kai Normann Andersen, and there are a few small situations lasting mere seconds that have been changed, must mostly the film is a word for word adaptation of Lynge and Sarauw's script.
