It's Donald Meek To The Rescue!

The Russian Civil War is on, between the Communists and the White Russians. Various western forces are supporting the White Russian forces, and this town has an America contingent, which consists of Robert Armstrong and Lyle Talbot. Into the mix come Russian princesses Fifi D'Orsay and Anne Nagel. Enter General Stanley Fields, who informs the two men that they are to retreat, despite their orders. He's a phoney, Princess Ann tells the boys, but unless Donald Meek and his gypsies show up in time, what can they do?

This independently produced comedy is supposed to have a What Price Glory? Vibe to it, but while Armstrong, the ladies, and Fields are all funny, Talbot is a bit of a stiff in the role, and the sound on the print I watched was pretty bad. Lloyd Ingraham sings several verses of "Ivan Sklavinsky Sklavar" and wrestler Man Mountain Dean shows up because why not?
