    Trails in motion

This is an interesting piece of work. The use of color and movement-particularly the way silhouettes are employed to create a trail of a person's motion-feels ahead of its time. If the original jazzy soundtrack were replaced with early 1980s dance music, I could easily believe this film was made in the '80s. From what I understand, it was not only an experimental film but also a promotional piece. Regardless, it stands as a fine testament to future generations from an experimental director.

    Sound, Color, and Motion

An experiment in color, using color negatives and jazzy music. Its rhythms are fun and engaging. The man dancing is very good, graceful, and precise. I know it takes a bit of personal involvement to accept this. I thought it was a decent effort.

A treat for the eyes and ears

This is a fun, free-wheeling and lighthearted, pioneering work of color animation. The jazz score is upbeat, the color vibrant, the visuals silly. Filmmaking, advertising, music videos, and animation have come a long way since 1936, but I could imagine this little ditty fitting in nicely and being a treat in 1976 or 2019, so I guess it's kinda timeless.
