Trivia
The musical enable "Comedian Harmonists" participated in the movie and also sang the theme song. They were very popular in that time but since 3 of the members were Jewish, they were banned in 1935. Also because of the participation of the Jewish members all their scenes were cut in the final movie. However Erwin Bootz, one of the members of the band wrote and starred in the play "Kleiner Mann, was nun", a stage adaptation of the same novel, in 1972 at the "Schauspielhaus Bochum".
