Intriguing Double Identity Show Biz Story Fails to Sustain Interest

Lillian Bond has a dual role in this poverty row (Progressive) show biz story set in a film studio, as a "high hat" actress who dies in a car crash and as her stunt double hired by the mogul played by Alexander Carr and asked later to replace her both on the sound stage and in real life.Meanwhile her mother played by Beryl Mercer works in the studio scrubbing the floors. The director William O'Connor mostly known for assisting on westerns fails to maintain interest as the bigamy complucation develops, with his overly talky treatment.

      • Trivia
This film is one of over 200 titles in the list of independent feature films made available for television presentation by Advance Television Pictures announced in Motion Picture Herald 4 April 1942. At this time, television broadcasting was in its infancy, almost totally curtailed by the advent of World War II, and would not continue to develop until 1945-1946. Because of poor documentation (feature films were often not identified by title in conventional sources) no record has yet been found of its initial television broadcast.
