    Don't Expect To Hear Gershwin

Randy sexagenarian -- no that's not redundant -- Andy Clyde rescues Alma Bennett from drowning. A couple of shots later, they're engaged to be married. Andy's father Irving Bacon sends Andy's son Vernon Dent to rescue the boy from the gold digger, which Dent does by stealing Clyde's pants. But love and a handy axe will find a way, so Bacon shows up himself.

Mack Sennett hit the sound era running, with a new studio and some funny shorts. However, control over the sound mike was not well established, and so there are a lot of extraneous noises to muffle the verbal goings on. Still, this movie is filled with amusing gags and situations.
