    You're All That And Less

Billy Bevan is married to Carmelita Geraghty, and he congratulates her on her good fortune. He's one of those husbands who flirts with every woman, even his own wife if he doesn't recognize her. So when the wealthy Dot Farley invites them to a weekend party, she dresses to the nines. Unfortunately, she also sings.

By this stage, Billy Bevan was one of Mack Sennett's mainstays. Unfortunately, Sennett had already made the move to sound features, so this typically fine silent comedy, with all the Sennett regulars, like Vernon Dent, Andy Clyde, and Irving Bacon, was a last hurrah. Increased production costs for sound, and a regular frame rate rewriting what could be done with a camera, as well as a downturn in business due to the Depression would put Sennett out of business in half a dozen years.

For the moment, before his comics scattered to the winds, enjoy this silent comedy that showed what Sennett's practiced staff could turn out as a matter of course.
