    And Then?

Mayor Vin Moore and Chief of Police Billy Bevan bet each other $10,000 over who gets stenographer Dolly Dimples -- was that her real name? I think not. They give the money to. Sammy Burns to be the stakes holder. He immediately leaves with Miss Dimples to Mexico, where they are captured by banditos.

The survival of Lehrman-Knockout comedies is poor at best, and this is no exception. There's a lot of damage at the beginning, and just after two planes carrying police to the rescue collide, and a runaway train hits a carload full of dynamite on a siding, the film gives out. I suspect no good, because Henry "Pathe" Lehrman liked them rough and chaotic. Too chaotic for my taste, usually. He also believed in spending his bosses' money in getting his vision on the screen, which is how he lost two production companies.
