Ps: James Mays commentary and production value sealed it and having a show without him is probably not the best move

James May connects his affable personality to a struggling toy company serving as a 2-hour advert as Hornby valiantly bumble on as possibly the world's premier toy corporation.

It is enjoyable hearing James offer charming ridicule for the toy train fanatics keeping a popular if hushed pastime alive. The program also does a sterling job of pretending to be a document despite many obvious moments of setup to create a narrative. The filming of the Scalextric commercial is a particularly egregious however followed by James reminding viewers, via voiceover, that on the stuffy BBC exciting advertisements such as these are not allowed to be shown.
