Let's face it, there's so much rubbish on TV now, it's very difficult to find something decent. I've completely given up on ITV as they pander to the brain dead.
So, how refreshing it is to find this superb sharply written comedy/drama with brilliant performances from all the cast.
Comic timing is spot on.
The Ebola scene where Sammy bangs his head on the table was classic. It's also heart warming and one can really root for the characters.
The utterly brilliant Rebekah Staton is always on top of her game, in my opinion she is the most underrated and under used actress. With her talent, particularly for comedy she really should be cast by Hollywood now.
Why don't they bring back Great Night Out and Raised with Wolves? Don't miss this series. Let's hope for series two. Brilliant.

I can't remember ever being so impressed by such great writing and acting in a series in years.
Both Youssef Kerkour and Rebekah Staton are fantastic and bring a depth to both characters not usually prevellent in "comedy".
Hats off to Rufus Jones and Channel 4 for bringing such a great series to us .
Heres hoping for a second series .....and its only half way through series 1?

I was resistant to watching this as I felt I knew what it was about before I watched it , when it comes to immigration in the UK , we don't do mature or reasoned so to watch something about immigration that is clever and funny and not an attempt to attack people for wanting to discuss immigration is a breath of fresh air.
Clever and funny with some excellent acting.
Why on Earth didn't I watch this first time round. I put the first episode on, and couldn't switch it off, it had me captivated. It's one of those comedy shows, that has so much more to offer up, it's insightful, moving, heart warming, and gives us some of the best characters I've seen in a show for some time.
The characters, each of them plays their part, develops the story, and has a journey, the acting is flawless throughout.
There are two incredibly poignant scenes in particular, that exquisite moment in the Post Office, and the scene on the bus, both are funny, but at the same time, make you think long and hard.
The most surreal scene comes with the Yucca plant.
I cried, I laughed, I questioned, I googled, it made me want answers, it made me want more, Rufus if you're reading, can we have more please? 9/10.

Saw this advertised during the ad break in Derry Girls. Rebekah Staton! Watched the first episode and really enjoyed it, a bit of Della Garry shining through! Thoroughly enjoyed it, can't wait for the next episode.
