Summary
Reviewers say 'From' is appreciated for its intriguing mystery, suspenseful storytelling, and horror elements, often drawing comparisons to 'Lost'. The show's unique premise captivates audiences, with strong performances from Harold Perrineau and Eion Bailey. Engaging character development and atmospheric tension create a gripping experience. However, some criticize the pacing, dialogue, and lack of answers, suggesting improvements. Despite these issues, many find the show addictive and worth watching, particularly for mystery and horror fans.

I wasn't sure what to expect from From. I've read everything from it's like Lost to it's a generic horror version of Lost. Lost is one of my favorite shows ever and the reviews for this have been mostly positive so I figured I'd give it a try and I'm glad I did. I was hooked from the first episode to the last. I'm so glad they already renewed this because there are so many unanswered questions still. That's probably the only negative thing I have say about this show, it takes a long time to answer questions and when they do more pop up. It takes a little time to really get going but once it does you'll be addicted and want to binge it as quickly as possible.
I'm writing this for the writers and producers of the show:
Please don't turn this into another "Lost"-another disappointment. You're heading straight for the same trap. None of the characters communicate with each other or share what's happening in town. It's as if they've suddenly become clueless, deliberately withholding important information that could help them understand what's going on. And this is so annoying.
Also, in every single episode, something new happens, but it's never explained. I've watched 14 episodes so far, and nothing has been clarified-just like "Lost."
So please, writers and producers, don't ruin this one too.

Very intriguing series. Good storytelling. Good characters as in most of them have common sense. Good horror tv. Gory as heck in parts. Lots of mysterious things to ponder. I very much enjoyed season 1 and hope they make another. There's not many good horror tv shows out there anymore. This is a good one imo.
From is a show built on suspense, mystery, and constant tension in a town filled with secrets. But by Episode 6 of Season 3, fans are starting to wonder: how long can the show keep us guessing without giving us any answers?
This episode brings all the usual creepy vibes, and the characters remain on edge. Yet, despite being deep into the third season, we're still left with more questions than ever. Instead of giving us any real answers, it feels like the show just adds more layers to the mystery.
If From keeps holding back without revealing anything, it might end up losing viewers who want at least a glimpse of the truth. Right now, the mystery is still gripping-but we're all waiting for a little more light in the darkness.

Season 1 & 2 were lit, but they are unnecessarily stretching the episodes of season 3 which is irritating. Season 3 episode was good, but after that simply they are building up some moments that is not getting us emotionally connect with the situation and I mostly fast forwarded several unwanted conversations with the characters. It was very thrilling previously, but now became a drama which seems inappropriate. I think after the first episode in season 3, rest of the 8 episodes can be actually compressed in to 3 episodes max. May be they have plans for another season. But this method of stretching episodes are not ideal as most of the fans find it irritating, including me. Hope they corrects the issue in next season.

- TriviaThe town set was built specifically for the series in North Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia.
The site, known as the Beaver Bank Villa has a long history, and many years ago contained housing units, a community hall, fire station, school, church, convenience store, etc. (all demolished by 2004) to support the workers of a nearby military radar base which operated in the 1950's and 1960's. The paved streets and driveways were all that remained, and the fake town was built on them.
