    Naturalistic & honest!

Two totally constrasting characters locked into a sadomasochistic relationship. Great naturalistic acting which drtaws the viewer into the highs and lows that can be the consequence of an addictive disturbed searching and grasping for meaning - yet going 'nowhere'. Despite it's darkness, I loved it's honesty.

    Wonderful & Raw!

Thought this film was wonderfully made. In moments I found it was very relatable to the relentlessness of adolescence, as well as touching on some deeper subjects throughout. The characters were so three dimensional & complex & the cinematography was beautiful. Looking forward to the next by this director.

A powerful and poignant coming of age film

This is a powerfully subtle film that explores a day in the life of two brilliantly realised characters as they search for meaning in their lives and explore what they mean to each other. Fabulously filmed and directed in a great series of locations around London lends the films a high sense of realism. The acting was phenomenal and the two characters were so flawed yet appealing. Would definitely recommend!

    Beautifully honest

I recently saw this film at a film festival at it really impressed me. If you've ever felt trapped, or just expressed a desire to escape whilst having nowhere to escape to, this film will speak to you.

It's an incredible film that manages to capture a deep sense of aimlessness and futility whilst never itself feeling aimless or futile. The characters are fantastically portrayed (especially the two leads) as both deeply sympathetic and painfully frustrating.

More than anything, To Nowhere has a strong integrity to its story and characters - it never succumbs to cliché, nor does it force any moral themes or clever plot twists at the expense of its own honesty.

Overall a heartbreaking exploration of two people struggling to find meaning in their lives, that doesn't shy away from the dark places that search so often takes us.

To Nowhere takes you Somewhere unexpected

To Nowhere is a sensitive portrayal of the agonies and ecstasies of late adolescence. We accompany Tulip and Finn through a 24 hour period during which we witness their tangled and tortured relationship.

It's a nuanced piece. Taut but bone achingly tender. Grittily realistic but suffused with a surreal quality, aided by the moody cinematography. It is also funny. A thread of humour runs through the narrative and we laugh, albeit uncomfortably. In all its sweetness and sadness and dark comedy we as the audience are voyeurs who can only watch as events unravel.

It's too simplistic to call To Nowhere a 'Coming of Age' drama. It's complexity defies such easy categorisations and stereotypical tropes. As the credits roll nothing is neatly resolved and it is a testament to the power of the film that we care what happens to the characters after 24 hours in their company.

To Nowhere takes you Somewhere. Just not where you expect it to and it is all the more poignant for that.
