As a survivor of rape myself who did not understand for years that what happened to me was in fact rape this episode, for me, is one of the best, well written, and raw things I've ever seen on television. Even though it was very triggering and hard to watch it was so important but at the same time they did it so well and with such compassion.
You know you're watching excellent tv when you have to pause to cheer a character on or pause to cry about something so relatable for so many women and people in general. This episode is what television should be. It was raw and relatable and eye-opening and had an emotional response for the viewer. It was the physical representation of empathy. This episode left such an impact on me that I created this account just to review it.
Bravo, Grey's Anatomy.

- Quotes
Abby: Jack... He's gonna look at me and see this broken person. If I tell him this, it's all he'll ever see.
Dr. Jo Karev: Abby, look at me. This doesn't define you. And whether you tell your husband or you report it or you don't tell another soul, you're a survivor. You survived. I still feel nauseous when I see men in expensive shoes with the points of the toes because that's how my ex-husband made my kidney bleed. For years, I thought I got what I deserved, that I was responsible, that maybe, just maybe, if I had said or done one thing differently...
Abby: But none of that was your fault.
Dr. Jo Karev: No.
Abby: It's not your fault. Do you have a phone I can use?
Dr. Jo Karev: Yes. Will you stay?
Abby: As long as you need.
