The plots are set in rural India and scary. The content also mirrors that we have heard from childhood
You call it horror? It's a pointless senseless illogical waste of time crappy shows. It's released in 2018 and with stupid graphic and flickering of lights.. worse than graphics shown in TV 20 years back! I am not sure how come a platform like Netflix is hosting these kind of crappy shows.. Seriously!
Do you often miss old hindi horror shows like Aap Beeti, Dahsat and Aahat etc ? Well than this is the show for you. The peculiarity of this series are the atmospheric horror, background score and story elements from Folklore, Myths, Legends etc from rural India, which most of us have never ever heard of. Being rich in folklore, legends, mythical tales etc Indian subcontinent has so much potential in the matter of storytelling. This series paid attention to that and behold We have a new story in every episode from each corners of India like Maharashtra, Assam, Kashmir, Jharkhand etc. Acting is done well , so is the practical effects and vfx. The budgetary concerns didn't hold the makers from adapting bold tales. What I find amusing is the developments of the characters and the changing scenario. Evil exists, it's lurking beneath the light . The universal nature of the stories made it appealing to me. Give it a try and I bet you won't be disappointed . I'm giving this 10 because of such unprecedented effort and more such series should be done in the future.
If you watched Aahat or Z-horror show, you can correlate those stories with this new 2018 series. The people who were involved this show forgot that this is NOT 1990s, the horror movies and series-es went a long way already. I wonder how a big production company like Netfilx produced this show of cheap horror. I am from S. Asia and I know there are rural stories which are scary and I can surely say that a good plot, direction, and acting can superbly present the true horror. See, for instance, Ghoul- another Netflix series, which is outstandingly created. This Anjaan TV series has weak plots, silly acting, annoying background sounds, irrelevant jump scare moments.
