This is the first TV series that I've stopped watching after one episode because of the main cast. The story might be good, but I feel like the actor who performs as the main character isn't the right one for the role. His acting is terrible. And I'm kind of Qiao Zhenyu's fan, and so, I really give this one a chance, but after watching the first episode, I didn't want to continue the rest of it.
The main reason why I've decided to watch this TV series is because of Qiao Zhenyu. I like him. His performance is great. Moreover, when I read the plot, I felt like it's a great series. But I didn't know that the era based on was Japanese era of China. I really hate that era. Mainly because it's so cruel and bloody. Most of the time, it's all about massacre. So, I always avoid films that are based on that era. Plus, it really does have some Japanese thing. I'm not fan of Japanese, so, as soon as I've seen that, I've decided not to continue to watch this series.
Because of the fact that I've just watched the first episode only, so, I don't know how the series would turn out or the story is a great one, so, I really can't write this review in details. Hence, I'm going to conclude it. Conclusion is that this TV series might be a great one because one of my favourite actors, Qiao Zhenyu is in the series (because every films he's in, it turned out to be a great one), but because of the main cast, I gave up this series. If they have chosen the right cast and the show didn't base on the era I hate, I might continue to watch. Right now, I really don't like this series. Sorry for saying something like this.
