It tells a story about Xu Yuan, a young shopkeeper of an antique shop who has found himself involved in something very dangerous.

Xu Yuan was a shopkeeper of an antique shop. It was his thirtieth birthday. A man called Yao Buran visited his shop. He claimed to be an antique lover but later he discerned some of the fakes and then destroyed them. No long later, Xu was took by a bunch of government workers and then met Director Luo who was in charge of the cultural relics stuff. He led Xu to meet with the chiefs of the four family that are good at antique appreciation. According to them, he knew a lot about his family and surprisingly found that his family used to be one of the five families. Luo asked Xu to join the returning ceremony of the Jade Buddha Head of Imperial Academy of Empress Wuzetian according to the request of Kiko Kana, the Japanese who agreed to return the Buddha head to China. Xu seemed to be confused.

Kana's driver slipped into Xu's house and tried to steal Sudinglu. He was caught by Huang Yanyan, Huang Zhenwu's granddaughter who claimed herself was just passing by. Fang Zhen, the police captain reported to Luo and the latter set up a meeting with Kana. She categorically denied that she had anything to do with this and offered to meet Xu. Meanwhile, Yao and Huang decided to test Xu's ability of antique appreciation. But they surprisingly found that the Buddha head from Ruixiangfeng that owned by Huang family was a fake.

Huang shut Ruixiangfeng down because of the fakes. Later, Yao and Huang were asked to meet Kana with Xu. After knowing this, Yao Lai and Huang Kewu hired a bunch of reporters to interrupt the meeting because of some unknown reasons. At the meeting, Kana told Xu that the Buddha head might be a fake. His grandfather Xu Yicheng who sent it to Japan might not be a traitor to China. Kana's grandfather left her a note and only Xu can solve the puzzle in it. The returning ceremony was set a month later. They had to solve the problems within a month. Xu thought Kana was hiding something from them. But meanwhile, Luo seemed to be interested in that note.
