Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite is the best halo we got since Halo 3 for a good amount of reasons. First is it's awesome campaign. The campaign from this game was not only a massive improvement from the last two Halo games (especially Halo 5) but it returned to what made the first 3 games so iconic, saving lives and kicking some ass. The Banished were great villains in the story and the emotional weight was high especially between Master Chief and Cortana 2.0. But not only is the campaign great but the multiplayer is also great. The mechanics & physics feel smoother and the maps are great for kicking major ass. Forge is also fun.

Halo is probably my favourite game franchise of all time and I love all the bungie games. I too was disappointed with 343's two games and was admittedly both nervous but very excited for this game. However I really did enjoy this games campaign and it's multiplayer however both have flaws and need work. Mainly this game is carried by it's amazing and well designed gameplay. This is genuinely one of the most fun halo games ever. The story and characters have their moments but some of the writing was a bit weird and definitely towards the end the story made a few questionable decisions. The open world aspect is fine but once you've had your fun in it for an hour you've basically done everything cause a lot of it is the same and repetitive. However like I said the game is extremely fun and the story genuinely has some great heartwarming moments, apparently there is DLC which I am now very much looking forward to. Overall this is a big step in the right direction and i am happy 343 have learned from their mistakes.

My review mostly centers around the campaign.

In terms of the campaign, it's a super fun, worthwhile game. It's challenging enough to where you have to be strategic. There's also lots of new abilities such as the grapple, dodge, etc. That spice it up and make it feel like a more modern game while still giving you the classic halo experience. I also very much like that at the end of each mission there is a boss fight which is challenging and very satisfying to complete.

In terms of the story, it's not very good. In this sense, it's more your classic video game story with cheesy dialogue, bad guys trash talking, etc.

Even though the story isn't very good, they got the most important thing right, which is making a fun, satisfying gaming experience. I highly recommend it.

Amazing game that brings the halo experience back to life and puts Xbox back at the top just an all around fun experience with stunning visuals and great story telling this game is a must.

This one fixed everything that Halo 5 did wrong...and did everything wrong that Halo 5 got right.

Halo 5 had a weak campaign but the multiplayer was nearly perfect. Infinite flips that on its head and gives us a fantastic campaign but pretty weak multiplayer with wonky aiming. Overall a great game but the multiplayer could use work for sure.

Also seriously lacking in content. They are just now beginning to drop content that should have shipped with the game (writing this a year later).
