Tears for Fears: Change

An excellent song coming from their very first album "The Hurting", "Change" by Tears for Fears is a masterpiece of sorts and as a video we got an unusual yet effective moment between Curt Smith and Roland Orzabal that still transcends time with their every single movement, lip-synch and the choreographed dances from Orzabal. I'm still trying to figure out what's it all about with the Asian masked character that appears time and again yet I think it's all very original and good to watch. But my favorite part ever is when Orzabal and one of those characters make an impromptu movement during the solo where they mix dancing with martial arts style moving forward as the rhythm moves in a hurried way. It's amazing. Smith takes the center stage by singing in plenty of close-up shots in front of this empowering building - but his hairstyle with a sort of ponytail is awfully dated. Yet who cares? We're all in it for the song which is one of their most interesting and coolest of all time with plenty of reflective lyrical moments. You don't need more than that. 8/10.
