The production details also bothered me, distracting from the action. The costume designer doesn't know you need a coat in Alaska because it's cold? Or that most people clean out a long-closed office in jeans & a sweatshirt or sweater (it's Alaska!). The finished clinic doesn't look like any Ive ever seen - apothecary bottles in the waiting room? All the shelving was pretty but they made me wonder if the clinic was also the pharmacy, not a waiting room. I did like the two lead actors but thought it funny that a big deal was made over his red hair! The PTSD issue was a nice plot addition.
Plot -former redident returne to town to reopen her late uncle's medical practice. Her high school ex is in town too.
This was a Harlequin movie, but it was reminiscent of the Hallmark movie "Christmas Under Cover'" starring Candace Cameron Bure. Both female leads are doctors, and both arrive in Alaska totally underdressed for the weather. It's Alaska people, it's covered in snow, it's cold, costume departments (for both movies) put those people in coats, boots and mittens.
Ok, enough of that. I really enjoyed this movie. I have never seen eother of the leads in any movie, however they were awesome. Their chemistry was immediate and real. Victor Zinck Jr as Finn did a superb job of portraying a veteran suffering from PTSD, he did a great acting job. Sarah Podemski did an excellant job as Maggie. Supporting characters / actors were great too. Especially Joey Fatone as Hank, he was a hoot.
My advice; Watch this movie.

Simple story. Doctor returns to her home town to take over late uncle's medical practice. Her high school sweetheart has to work with her to restore the uncle's rundown clinic. The ex has PTSD from military service. That's the plot. To fill it out a little, there's a bachelor auction in conjunction with the town's promotion as a place to fall in love. There are no highs or lows or surprises.
The romantic relationship isn't worth the effort. The movie isn't horrible, it just isn't any good.

Beautiful scenery the lady doctor seems a little cold and the guy with PTSD really plays the part as if he experienced that trauma
Should leave Joey Fatone out he is an awful actor .
The giddy woman Emma acts like a teenager so silly for a woman her age.

Why does up cast Joey Fatone he is such a bad actor not funny either other cast is fine. Women professionals are so cold unfeeling Maggie is nice but not a real good actress. Love Finn he is dealing with a lot needs empathy which Maggie is not good at to be a Doctor. She seems resentful of sharing Clinic with Finn that Uncle Tobias left them. Sarah and Victor are good together .Emma the Australian actress and Joey Fatone really deserve each other both so dingy.
