With a form of modern western, the director builds a confrontation with the progress as a destructive element, which is also defined in the relationship of the bohemian father and the son, full of reproaches. With an exceptional cinematography that shows the greatness of the landscape as well as the intimacy of the people, the film works in contrast, in the harshness of the forest and its inhabitants.
Excellent work, wonderful photography, beautiful locations, captivating shots, fantastic acting, Mourikis is the best. Realistic senario which exposes environment, economical, ethical and social dilemmas. The characters are well developed with back stories. There are funny moments and hard moments just as life is.
The best film I have watched in ages if never.

It is a moving and multidimensional film with deep social and political messages. It focuses not only on the broken father-son relationship and how it is evolving, but also raises critical political issues, such us the change in the local economy due to the arrival of a large company and the impact it has, not only on the lives of local producers struggling to handle, but also in the relations between the inhabitants.
The issues raised of this film are so realistic that it's really worth seeing and thinking about. It is one of the best Greek movies I have ever seen.

"Digger" is a Drama movie in which we watch a young man returning to his hometown and see his father after many years. They both have to find the correct way to communicate after so many years apart.
I liked this movie very much because despite its simple plot it was interesting. The direction which was made by Georgis Grigorakis was very good and he presented very well both his main characters and their relationship. In addition to this, he succeeded on presenting in a very clever way some of the most important subjects of our times, such as climate change and deforestation. The interpretations of Argyris Pandazaras who played as Johnny, Vangelis Mourikis who played as Nikitas and Sofia Kokkali who played as Mary were very good. Finally, I have to say that "Digger" is a nice drama movie and I highly recommend everyone to watch it.
