Above average thriller. Bad acting? No. About what you expect from any above average American TV series. Keeps you guessing, absorbing enough to make one want to see the next episode and unless you are an above average tv/movie detective who has figured it out by episode 6, the ending will surprise you. The mystery now is will there be a season 2. Lots of loose ends to tie up.
Exciting and thrilling series that deliver great acting and an intriguing storyline. Don't look at the bad reviews, they don't have any merit at all. The swedes sure know how to make good TV.
Im Swedish and I find this series so bad I had to stop watch it after 5-6 episodes. Its trying something but really struggle to deliver. It seems like the show is trying to empower women but the 4 main women charaters are so dumb and incompetent at all times that is just becomes comedy. They really seem to struggle to put one foot before the other and they are supposed to be these amazing powerful women laweyrs and powerhouses?!
But they cant see any of the big neaon signs that screams them directly in the face?! They fail to overpower 1 women when they are 5 Vs 1. No one can apparently smell alcohol on their best friends breath even thos they huddle together all the time. Good cop cant see a problem with his dodgy partner having a luxury sports car.
Its not "good writing" when you, to be able to push out an entire season have to make all the main characters morons, which fail at every turn so you just can prolong the suffering.
After 4:th episode I started to root for the bad guys who was smart and managed to succeed at every turn and were 10 steps in front of the women the whole series.
No, if you actually want to see a great TV-show partly set in Sweden just watch "Bron" (the Bridge).

I envy those people that can watch Heder and not reflect on the really bad dialogue and acting. It doesn't flow at all and its never convincing, its just painful to watch. I normally like watching Swedish productions, even with small founding it most often turn out pretty good. I just watch the second season of Heder and its so predictable, the script is terrible and I hope this is the last season. Spend the production money on something else.
A suspenseful story that's brutal in its depiction of violence against women. This topic, along with 4 strong female protagonists may make this show hard to swallow for those looking exclusively for stereotypical (american?) entertainment.
While the writing does have its weakspots here and there, overall production and acting is well executed, and I'm looking forward to season 2.
