Don't come into RobiHachi excepting an epic contribution to the mecha anime genre. It's silly and laid back and has the type of humor that breaks the fourth wall often. I would even go so far as to say this show is a parody. The English-dub dialogue has so many one-liners that catch me off guard and have me rolling.
The character designs are lovely and the art style is easy on the eyes. Very wonderful show and works wonderfully as a casual watch.

This was recommended by a friend as a funny comedy in space and when I noticed it on Hulu I decided why not. One of my favorite animes solely for the stupid humor in all the correct ways.
Started this anime just to give it a try. The first half of the season wasn't that bad... but then it started to pick up steam, and I actually really enjoyed it! Especially the character Yang, voiced by Ian Sinclair (which I personally love hearing) (*Whis, from Dragon Ball Z*), he brought a lot of comedy to this role.
Post credit scene hints to a second season, and I hope that happens. Worth a watch!
The biggest appeal for me was the funny one liners and innuendos between the two main guys, Robby and Hatchi. There's a wonderful mix of story, jokes, lessons, and character development. I fell in love with the show and characters for the fun and lighthearted atmosphere. If you want serious mecha animes then this isn't it, but if you're looking for something that's fun and easy to binge watch, especially more than once, then look no further.
One of my favorite characters was Mr. Yang, he's the default villain of the story, but you'll begin to see he's actually really nice and forgiving. He just wanted an excuse to chase after Robby.
If you don't like soft undertones and hints toward boy love then that's also something to keep in mind for this hidden gem of a show. I've had guy friends watch it and still have a good laugh so I say at the very least give it a shot before you write it off.

And became infatuated. It is campy, cheesy, and filled with innuendos but that's what makes it amazing. The voice actors play it off and don't react to the one liners, like corny laugh track pauses you get with generic sitcoms. There's a weird comedic magic to this show that makes you wanting more (please please please don't make this be a one season wonder). I was looking for a short anime to not get invested into, to just zone out to while drifting off to at night, nope, stayed up and binged this in one night and now desperately need more!
