The animation style at the beginning was really cool to tell the myth behind the curse of the house. It was a really cool way to fill the watches in on the background of the house.
The CGI was terrible. The acting was okay, but the scripting could have been better. The story behind everything was pretty cool overall. I think this film is slightly better than average. I enjoyed watching it, but I've seen much better, and I've seen much worse too.

Ancestral home comes with "guardians" a supernatural curse. Long distant half-sisters that are conflicted come to the home for the reading of the will. Lackluster film goes on with rather boring characters that hold true to contrived plot lines. Simplistic solution only adds to the dullness of the film. Undone by the emptiness of story leaving too much lacking for any interest.
Ridiculous dialogues. The characters didn't develop anything during the movie. The characters were incapable of living and who were horribly written. They were obnoxious and illogical to the point that I was rooting for the enemy to kill them as soon as possible. The whole thing was so ridiculous. There isn't a normal living person in the world who starts arguing with another about ridiculously unimportant things, when their life is obviously in serious danger because they've already seen someone die. In this film, however, the Darwin Award-winning characters did not get to the point of utilizing the survival instinct. They didn't even look scared. They didn't care about it all. They couldn't solve any problem on their own. In fact. The only viable character was constantly looked down upon and backstabbed. Then they were surprised that there was no one among them who had any ability to get them out of the situation. My favorite is how many times they walked very slowly outside in the dark forest and argued with each other over nothing like hysterical teenagers. They knew the enemy was there, but somehow they didn't perceive it.
The enemies looked ridiculous, not scary. The film was made in 2020, compared to that, even with a quarter of the budget, a film could have been made seven times better. Congratulations on that.

That i was extremely tired and slumbering in and out of the green gables each time the living dead came screaming... so my review may have some flaws due to that.thats the hindside of numerous films watched in a row..
its a zombie movie instead of ''ghosts'' as you may expect from a british production. the story may bait some nostalgics, cause it aint bad, the narrative makes sense, and the acting aint too awful.
i bet there will be made a number 2 and 3 and 4 because its an ancestral guardianship of the manor that will doom generations to come. is it a film worth seeing, well as a sleep killer i can recommend , the acting aint more than average, and 95 % of the playtime is in darkness, so sit in a dark room when viewed. the grumpy old man did find this as a positive gain of english moviemaking on low budget, and therefore a small recommend

The Guardians, they come for the descendants of the Evil Tyrant King. The curse is strong!!!!
Okay bad story. Acting okay. Nothing gory really except one shotgunned head. Just not very good. 3/10.
